What are the most beautiful beaches in Collioure ?
Saint Vincent beach, Boramar beach, Faubourg beach, Ouille beach … ? With your feet in the sand, rocked by the waves, watching the fish, or ‘lazing on the beach’, it’s all part of the holiday experience ! Collioure‘s beaches are authentic, with no long sandy beaches, but rather a mix of pebbled and sandy beaches. The cliffs, vegetation and Fort Saint Elme are all part of the landscape !
Favorite ❤️
Take a stroll along the coastal path to reach the Ouille beach as a reward !
01
Ouille cove
We love the Ouille creek ! This cove under the cliffs has a mixture of fine sand and shingles. You can’t help but admire the green and turquoise colours of this beach, which can be reached on foot from Collioure by taking the coastal path towards Le Racou. To get closer to the beach, you can park in the Porteils coves and walk along the coastal path towards Collioure. From the Easter holidays onwards, there is a small beach restaurant serving fine cuisine right on the water.
02
Saint Vincent beach
Saint Vincent beach, located behind the Church of Notre Dame des Anges, near to the town centre, this stony and sandy beach is unmissable, with stunning views over the Château Royal, Port d’Avall beach, not forgetting Fort Saint Elme and the Mill ! However, this beach may be more exposed to the wind than the others in the village of Collioure. If you fancy an aperitif or a snack, the beach bar “derrière le clocher” is just the place! You can also hire a kayak, paddle or drift!
03
Boramar beach
In the heart of the village, Boramar cove is surrounded by the Church of Notre Dame des Anges and the Château Royal. How splendid!
Sheltered from the Mediterranean wind, you can dip your toes in the sea, with an ice-cream in hand, having just come from the shops, just a few steps away.
04
Faubourg Beach (Avall Port)
This long sandy beach has wonderful views over the Bay of Collioure, with the Château Royal, the Church of Notre Dame des Anges and Saint Vincent Chapel in the background of this picture-perfect scene!
This beach, where sunbathing is widespread, is ideal for children. If you’re feeling peckish or fancy hiring a pedalo or deckchair, the beach club on the beach has it all!
05
La Balette cove
Below the cliffs of the Côte Vermeille, this charming shingle cove has breath-taking views over the whole Bay of Collioure.
Access via a narrow cobblestone path along the coast will only add to your excitement when you step onto the beach.
It is located just below a Michelin-starred restaurant. This intimate beach is a delight!
06
Les Batteries cove
Who could ask for anything more from this gorgeous shingle beach, with its turquoise waters and views over the monuments of Collioure?
07
Blue Rock cove
This little cove is an extension of Les Batteries, and has mostly the same characteristics. Although its sand is closer to the residences, it is still just as typical of the Côte Vermeille! Situated between Collioure and Port-Vendres, it is mainly visited by locals.
