We look forward to seeing you on 21 and 23 September for the European Heritage Days in Collioure!


Two days where art and culture will be the watchwords as you discover Collioure's historical, military and artistic heritage. 


Openings of places usually closed to the public, guided walks, visits to free or low-cost sites… will be taking place in Collioure during these European Heritage Days.

Sunday 22nd September :


1/ Visit to the anchovy salting workshops

Carrefour du Christ 1 Route d' Argeles – approx. 20 minutes

Maison Roque (Saturday only) 8.30am to 11.30am 2.30pm to 4.30pm

Maison Desclaux (all weekend) 9am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 7pm

Discover the old anchovy-making workshops and watch salting demonstrations.

Tastings available.


2/ 10.00 am – Guided tour of the Antonio Machado trail

Departure from the station – 2 hours

Discover Antonio Machado's last days in Collioure, guided by volunteers from the Foundation and the Espace Machado mediator.

The tour can be continued individually at the Château Royal, which is hosting an exhibition on the Retirada.


3/ 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm – Free admission to the Museum of Modern Art

PLEIN SOLEIL , Collioure 1945 – 1985’ exhibition

Immerse yourself in post-war Collioure, where artists, showbiz stars and the first bikinis meet under the puzzled gaze of fishermen and net-pickers, the last witnesses of a bygone era.


4/ 10am to 5pm – Guided tour

Moulin de la Cortina – approx. 30 minutes

Built in the 14th century, this was the first windmill to be built in Catalonia.


5/ 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 5pm – Catalan boat trip.

Port of Collioure –

The association Patrimoine Maritime Colliourenc (Rigo Rigo boat) and the municipal boat Ufana offer rides in the bay of Collioure.

Subject to weather conditions.


6/ 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 5pm Introduction to traditional rowing

Port de Collioure – approx. 30 minutes

The Collioure Sportif Aviron association introduces you to this traditional sport dating back to the 1930s, which originated in fishing.


5/ 10.30 am to 4.30 pm: Guided tours of the Château Royal: maritime heritage in the spotlight! 

Themed guided tours of the Château Royal de Collioure on the theme of maritime heritage.

6/ At the Royal Castle: all day long

– Explora, the invisible castle’ immersive show every 15 minutes

9/ 2pm to 5pm – Exhibition on Collioure's maritime heritage

An exhibition on the history of fishing in Collioure.
