Collioure in 1 day 🎨

The art walk!
- 1 – Leave the Boulevard du Boramar and walk along the footbridge alongside the Château Royal to the Tour de la Douane. Reproductions of their works, including the famous ‘Open Window’, painted during the summer of 1905, will give you an insight into life in Collioure in 1905, between fishing and wine-growing. You’ll see how they were seduced by the light and colours of Collioure.
- 2 – Walk along Boulevard du Boramar towards the Church of Notre-Dame-des-Anges, then take the staircase that leads to Rue Bellevue, a small, flower-filled, shady street. Through the loopholes in the ramparts, admire the Chapelle Saint-Vincent and the sea.
- 3 – At the top of rue du Mirador, discover the delightful rue des Caranques, immortalised by André Derain, and a little further to the right, at the top of rue du Miradou, Matisse‘s work ‘Les toits de Collioure’.
- 4 – End your stroll on avenue Aristide Maillol (towards the station) with a final reproduction of Madame Matisse in Kimono.
