The terroir experience at Vins d'Auteurs
If you ask Olivier Huss why his cellar is called Vins d'Auteurs, he'll tell you: "You can't just sell wines, there are people behind them. At Vins d'Auteurs, which opened in 2005, we have more than 650 references, and we work with winemakers with strong sensibilities, who leave their mark on the wines".
His shop, which overlooks Collioure's market square, stocks over 650 wines. The brand has made Collioure and Banyuls AOCs its speciality. "We work with the best of the department". At estate prices.
"We have a very targeted range, and almost all our wines come from Roussillon, a region we know and love". During the holidays, each day a producer will come and talk about his or her wine. Don't hesitate to ask Vincent Daure, a former sommelier, for advice. "Collioure wines, in general, have a delicious, sun-kissed structure," he says.
