The Collioure market, an explosion of Mediterranean flavours!
At the foot of the Château Royal and facing the sea, we find ourselves in the midst of market stalls selling spices and olives!
It’s hard to resist the scents of the Boles de Picolats and traditionally-cooked cuttlefish, and the typical local anchovy/pepper/aubergine puff pastries are just as tempting!
You can also discover local arts & crafts. The fruit and vegetable stalls are bursting with colour and flavour!
Add to that the magnificent maritime scenery and the donkeys on the surrounding hills, the colourful houses and the wonderful accents of southern France. We’re at the Collioure market!
Arts & crafts evening market in July and August
Facing the sea, at the Esplanade du Faubourg, the arts & crafts market takes place in a musical atmosphere during the summer days in July and August!
From 5pm to 11pm, around twenty craftspeople will be showcasing their beautiful creations, including ceramics, soaps, textiles, wood, stone and much more. It’s a great activity to do at the end of the day, when temperatures are milder!
Discover the markets in the surrounding area
We’ll also discover the markets on and around the Vermeille coast. A great opportunity to explore the nearby villages, Argelès-sur-Mer, Port-Vendres and Banyuls-sur-Mer!
